My name is Emily Trelford. I am 21 years old, and am a student at the University of Victoria in the Elementary Education Program. I live on the peninsula of Vancouver Island, and my interests include exploring, cooking, working with kids and spending time with my friends and family!
Growing up on Vancouver Island, being in touch with nature has always been important to me. Whether it be road-trips to Tofino, hiking, or off roading, it is important to me to stay grounded with the beautiful place that I live.
My hope is that as a future educator, I will be able to incorporate the importance of the natural beauty this island has to offer into my classroom. I want to be able to teach my students about this land, it’s history, and the importance of sustainability so that the future generations can enjoy where we live just as much as we do!
